It is with great excitement that we, the St. Michael’s Greek Orthodox Church Youth Group, have chosen to make the Golden Shovels that will be used for our Groundbreaking. Recently we mailed everyone a very special package of golden raffle tickets. We will be raffling 8 of the 9 golden shovels used at the historic ground-breaking ceremony February 26, 2005. That same evening during the dinner dance, the 9th shovel will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. With the funds raised from the raffle and auction, the Youth Group is trying to raise $10,000 in order to purchase one of the icons for the new church, appropriately, of Christ with the Children. Please support this tremendous effort by purchasing your raffle tickets at the cost of $10.00 per ticket or a book of six for $50.00. Please return your raffle ticket stubs and donation as soon as possible. As you can imagine, there is a lot we need to do before the groundbreaking and we would like to be able to take care of those tasks that can be taken care of in advance. If you are unable to use your raffle tickets, please return them so that we may sell them to others. God bless you for supporting our Youth Group project!
