CROSS RAISING JUNE 29TH

“The Lord hath been mindful of us and He will bless us”

                                                                                      Psalm 115:12

 

On June 29th we were blessed to witness the Raising of the Cross upon the Dome of our new church.  Following the Divine Liturgy to commemorate ss Peter & Paul, Fr. Jim performed a short Agiasmos and then was raised along with the cross the 60+ ft to bless and place the cross upon the Dome where it remain for time eternal as a beacon to Orthodoxy and our faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ. 

And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them”

Exodus 25:8

 

We are truly Blessed to witness this historic occasion as we build the Lord’s House.  Although a few weeks remain before construction will be complete, this moment remains anchored in the memories of all those who attended.

"This is the day that the Lord hath made let u rejoice and be glad in it".

This page has been dedicated to the sharing of information on the building of our sanctuary to be dedicated to the Archangel Michael.  As we progress in this process we will add more and more information on the stages of our planning and the progress being made.  In the near future we hope to have renderings of the proposed complex.  As the Building Committee, the Parish Council, the General Assembly, Father Samaras and ultimately His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta give their blessing and work is further refined we will share through this page that progress for all to bear witness and give thanks to Our Lord.
